We built the first peer-to-peer car marketplace inside ChatGPT - a distribution channel no one else has.
PrivateAuto wanted to meet car buyers and sellers where they already spend time - inside ChatGPT. We built the first-of-its-kind integration so search, listings, pricing, offers, and test-drive requests all happen in-chat, and every action routes cleanly back into PrivateAuto's pipeline.
The problem
Buyers are moving from Google to ChatGPT - and no car marketplace was there
Car shoppers increasingly start research inside ChatGPT instead of Google. Every marketplace that competes for that buyer - and there are a lot of them - was sitting on the sidelines, hoping classic SEO would still capture the click.
PrivateAuto saw the shift early. The question wasn't whether to build for it, but how to do it natively - so the chat experience felt like PrivateAuto, not a third-party redirect.

MCP server, built to spec
We built a PrivateAuto-hosted MCP server with 20+ tools - search, listing detail, price analysis, offers, messaging, test-drive requests - so the entire marketplace surface is callable from inside ChatGPT.
Step 2
Native UI inside the chat
Custom React + Tailwind widgets render right in the ChatGPT iframe: a search-results carousel with verified badges, a fullscreen listing detail with photo gallery and specs, and a price-analysis bar chart anchored against private-party / retail / trade-in.

Handoff that actually closes
Discovery is free in ChatGPT. The moment a user acts - makes an offer, messages a seller, requests a test drive - we collect contact info, create a pending action, and deep-link them into PrivateAuto for verified signup. SMS + email follow-ups with 24-hour claim links land instantly.
